Professional Multi Media Projection System

Canon A-1 Outfit

CANON A1 OUTFIT

The A-1 has been a long-time favorite of professional photographers, enduring the roughest possible treatment under all climatic conditions. My camera has had an easy life and it is in excellent condition. The rubber sunshade which fits over the eyepiece is missing, but this can be found on eBay or in camera shops if you really want it. I never missed it because it gets in the way of my glasses. There is one slight worn spot (circled in the 3rd photo) where it chafed on my soft camera bag, but the camera is otherwise perfect. All items are genuine Canon products.

Every photographer is interested in good quality lenses and this outfit has it all. All lenses are original Canon products.

To start with, there is a standard 50mm which can be seen mounted on the camera above. There is also a 50mm macro lens in perfect condition which produces extra sharp close-ups. I used this lens together with the bellows for duplicating slides and making regular color or black and white images from slides.

The 80-200mm zoom lens is also in pristine condition and delivers excellent photos.

The winder is like new with no corrosion in the battery compartment

Here is the bellows which I have been mentioning. If you have ever worked with one of these, you know what it is a treasure to own!

Finally. there are filters, a cable release, duplication attachment for slides and negatives and other items. I even include an extra A-1 body for spare parts. It fell off the top of a car at 60 mph and got banged up, but kept working for years until the owner bought another and sold me this one for parts. Look at the battle scars and you will begin to realize what a tough camera this is!

All this for $750

This set-up consists of 4 Kodak Ektapro slide projectors with matching Ektapro 100-200mm zoom lenses, a hand-held dissolve unit for 2 projectors and a Stumpfl SD-404 drive unit for 4 projectors, a small mixer, a Sony single CD-Player with fiber optic output, 2 Chief projector stands for a total of 4 projectors, a sturdy folding aluminum projector and equipment table with adjustable legs and three levels, and a Sony Vaio computer with 180 GB HD and Wings software program.

Three of these German-made quality projectors are 7020 Models and one is a Model 9020 with timer function. All four are programmable slide projectors with Kodak zoom lenses in excellent condition! Instruction manuals are included.  They have the extra bright dual lamp module with auto-switching in event of a burnout.

Ektapro projectors are very robust and these have never given me any problems, but in event of a malfunction, the Kodak Ektapro shop manual on CD is included. All equipment is kept in cases and has been stored in a dry place (my office!).

For simple 2-projector dissolve shows, you can use the hand-held remote or timer function (using the 9020). Professional shows with four projectors are programmed using a PC and special Software (see description below). Theme parks and theatres often use multiple projectors for their visual effects and I have visited theatres here in America that used as many as 36 Ektapros in their productions!

HOW IT FUNCTIONS

With the computer program, "Wings for Windows," the producer can do a fantastic job of creating multimedia shows. You can include all kinds of fades or special optical effects, determine stand times and view the results on your computer screen. You can record, edit and insert sound effects, stereo background music and your voice comments with the same program. You see and hear it all and make certain that the sound is exactly synced to the pictures. After making changes on your computer screen, you can connect the PC to the SD-404 and give it a test run. When everything is perfect, you save the program and burn it onto a CD. The CD recording includes the stereo sound track which the audience hears plus embedded signals which drive the computerized projectors. A fiber-optic cable connects the Sony CD-Player with the Stumpfl SD-404 which, in turn, is connected by serial cables to the projectors. The show progresses fully automatically, but if you prefer, you can comment live using a microphone and the mixer. If you use more than 320 slides in your show, you can program the show so that there is no need to stop for changing magazines. The projectors also accept the 140-slide trays, but I don't recommend using them. I always used glass protected slides and the 80-slide trays. Thin plastic or paper slides sometimes jam using the 140-slide trays.

The well-known Austrian Stumpfl Technology firm developed the hardware and software, which is used in many theme parks around the world.

I created a show in German depicting that which is unique to America and showed it in Austria using this set up. I also used a video projector to show video clips in certain places. Use your own creativity to produce amazing shows! I will be happy to demonstrate the setup for anyone interested. I will also give the buyer free instructions on setting up and running shows. A professional outfit like this is seldom offered in North America, and it is hardly broken in! I could get much more for it in Europe, but do not wish to ship it overseas.

I will sell the entire setup including Sony Vaio PC with software for $2000
